Treetops
Nestled in the beautiful grounds of Dalkeith Country Park, Treetops Outdoor Nursery embraces a full outdoor learning approach. Our nursery provides a dynamic environment where the carpet of leaves and the canopy of trees change daily, inspiring wonder and learning.
We cater for children from 2 years 9 months to school age, with a capacity for 25 children per day. The main camp and drop-off base at our “Cow Shed” offer an immersive woodland experience. Many of our children also attend our sister nursery, The Country Park Nursery for split placements.
Open Monday to Thursday from 7:30 am to 6:00 pm, only closing between Christmas and New Year. We partner with Midlothian Council to provide funded Early Learning and Childcare (ELC) spaces. We accept all childcare vouchers and Tax-Free-Childcare, ensuring accessibility and support for families.
There are 6 Chapter One nurseries in the UK and we have been providing a warm, nurturing and challenging environment for children and babies in Scotland and North Yorkshire since 2004. More recently, in 2018, we expanded and opened internationally, with a nursery in Muscat, Oman.
