Shawfair House Nursery offers a unique blend of farmhouse charm and modern facilities, making it a magical environment for children. Located near Sheriffhall Junction and adjacent to Shawfair Park and Ride, it is perfect for commuting parents.

Our safe, enclosed gardens provide a stimulating outdoor space where children can explore and learn through nature.

The nursery accommodates 56 children across three distinct areas: the Baby room, Tweenie room and the Young Explorers’ area, which includes a craft room, playroom, construction room, library and eating room. We also offer a sensory room/parent’s room. We cater for children aged 3 months to school age.

Open Monday to Thursday from 7:30 am to 6:00 pm, 51 weeks of the year, closing at Christmas. We partner with Midlothian Council to provide funded Early Learning and Childcare (ELC) spaces. We accept all childcare vouchers and Tax-Free-Childcare, ensuring accessibility and support for families.
